Lauren Ashley Zakrin will assume the role of Sandy opposite Eric Schneider as Danny in the national tour of Grease on October 23 when the production plays the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
The production will continue to feature American Idol winner Taylor Hicks as Teen Angel, along with Scot Patrick Allan (Eugene), Will Blum (Roger), Bridie Carroll (Jan), Kate Morgan Chadwick (Frenchy), Brian Crum (Doody), Kelly Felthous (Marty), Dominic Fortuna (Vince Fontaine), Erin Henry (Patty Simcox), Roxie Lucas (Miss Lynch), David Ruffin (Kenickie), Allie Schulz (Rizzo) and Nick Verina (Sonny). The ensemble features Joseph Corella, Preston Ellis, Ruby Lewis, Lisa Maietta, Dayla Perkins, Mark Raumaker, Mike Russo, Matthew William Schmidt, Christina Sivrich, and Elizabeth Stacey.
Grease, by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, with additional songs from Barry Gibb, John Farrar, Louis St. Louis and Scott Simon, has been directed by Kathleen Marshall. The creative team also includes Derek McLane (scenic design), Martin Pakledinaz (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design), and Brian Ronan (sound design).
