Synopsis


In the 25 minute curtain raiser Lord Buckley, Richmond Shepard who worked with Buckley at The Club Renaissance in Los Angeles in 1950's and knew him during his final two years protrays the Legendary Hip Comedian, Jazz Storyteller, Semanticist, & Sometime Philosopher. Lord Buckley includes material Buckley made famous in his night club acts and on his many appearences on the Ed Sullivan Show.

In the 60 minute second act, Leslie E. Hughes portrays Marilyn Monroe in Willard Manus's play Marylin's 2nd Chance which explores the question, "What if Marilyn had survived, lived for years in obscurity, and has decided to audition to play the lead in Tennessee Williams' "Orpheus Descending" on Broadway? It has received critical praise at previous engagements including, "An unforgettable theatrical experience." Entertainment Today, and "The play is a must-see." Drama-Logue.
